Finally got my photos sorted from Sunday's trip to Thornton Abbey with Laura (lauramumbyphotography) and Leanne. I got maybe 3 or 4 I like - it was the first time I've used my monopod and it really came in useful - I didn't use my flash at all and the majority of the (indoor, poorly lit) photos came out blur-free. There were a couple that I wish I'd taken with a flash but oh well - live and learn.

I could have done with a head for my monopod for portrait format shooting - so I've added that to my kit this week (along with a Lowepro backpack - finally, enough space!).

All in all, our first photo-geek-trip was a success, I think. Definitely have to do it more often
